Phim về cuộc sống Hồi giáo cực đoan thắng giải César 2015

Tại lễ trao giải César lần thứ 40 của Viện Hàn lâm Nghệ thuật điện ảnh Pháp, bộ phim Timbuktu chiến thắng 7 giải thưởng gồm: “Phim xuất sắc”, “Đạo diễn xuất sắc”, “Kịch bản gốc xuất sắc”, “Dựng phim xuất sắc”, “Quay phim xuất sắc”, “Nhạc phim hay nhất” và “Âm thanh xuất sắc”.

Timbuktu là tác phẩm của đạo diễn Abderrahmane Sissako, hợp tác sản xuất giữa Pháp và Mauritius. Lấy cảm hứng từ chuyện có thật về một cặp vợ chồng Hồi giáo bị ném đá đến chết năm 2012, chuyện phim xoay quanh cuộc sống hà khắc của con người dưới chế độ Hồi giáo cực đoan ở Timbuktu - một thành phố Tây Phi cổ đại.

Phát biểu khi lên nhận giải thưởng, đạo diễn Abderrahmane Sissako bày tỏ sự cảm kích trước tính đa dạng và cởi mở của điện ảnh Pháp. Ông đặc biệt cảm ơn hai nhà sản xuất người Pháp là Sylvie Pialat và Jean Labadie đã tin tưởng và dám mạo hiểm với dự án này. Timbuktu cũng là ứng viên sáng giá ở hạng mục “Phim nước ngoài xuất sắc” của Oscar 2015.

Một tác phẩm nổi bật khác ở César lần thứ 40 là Love at First Fight (Les Combattants), kể về một mối tình đơm hoa sau một trận đấu vật trong quân ngũ. Phim mang về giải “Phim đầu tay xuất sắc” cho đạo diễn Thomas Cailley, “Nữ diễn viên chính xuất sắc” cho ngôi sao 26 tuổi Adèle Haenel và “Nam diễn viên mới triển vọng” cho tài tử trẻ Kevin Azais. Adèle Haenel đã vượt qua hai minh tinh gạo cội là Marion Cotillard (phim Two Days, One Night) và Juliette Binoche (phim Clouds of Clouds of Sils Maria) để bước lên bục vinh quang.

Hạng mục “Nam diễn viên chính xuất sắc” vinh danh tài tử Pierre Niney của phim Yves Saint Laurent. Trong phim, Niney vào vai nhà thiết kế thời trang đồng tính Yves Saint Laurent nổi tiếng của Pháp.
Hạng mục “Phim nước ngoài xuất sắc” vinh danh tác phẩm Mommy của đạo diễn đồng tính sinh năm 1989 người Canada - Xavier Dolan.

Điện ảnh Hollywood không bội thu ở César lần thứ 40 nhưng có bất ngờ. Kristen Stewart lần đầu tiên làm nên lịch sử khi giành giải “Nữ diễn viên phụ xuất sắc” với vai diễn trong phim Clouds of Clouds of Sils Maria. Cô trở thành nữ diễn viên người Mỹ đầu tiên có vinh dự nâng cao tượng vàng César ở hạng mục diễn xuất. Trong phim, Kristen Stewart vào vai một trợ lý có mối quan hệ phức tạp với một minh tinh tuổi xế chiều.

Đạo diễn kiêm tài tử Sean Penn được trao giải Danh dự của César. Ngôi sao người Mỹ cho biết ông luôn yêu thích phim Pháp và cảm thấy rất tự hào khi được giải thưởng điện ảnh lớn nhất của Pháp ghi nhận.
